The rule
20 ILCS 2105/2105-15.5, as described on IDFPR's CE requirements page: one hour each renewal cycle, beginning with the first renewal after the initial license (so it applies even at the first renewal, when general CME is waived). Training must come from your employer, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, or a CE provider authorized under an Act administered by IDFPR. Under the Medical Practice Act rules, ACCME and ACCME-accredited providers, the AOA and the Illinois State Medical and Osteopathic societies are approved CE sponsors (68 Ill. Adm. Code 1285.110(c)(1)(A)). Counts toward the 150 hours.
