- Renewal cycle

- Michigan Board of Medicine (LARA, Bureau of Professional Licensing)
- The rule
- R 338.7004(2): 1 hour for each year of the license cycle (3 hours for a 3-year license), earned within that cycle; hours do not carry forward and repeat training does not count. Training must include strategies to reduce disparities and pre- and post-test implicit bias assessments (R 338.7004(5)(b)). Accepted sponsors include nationally or state-recognized health-related organizations, state or federal agencies, board-approved CE programs, accredited colleges and DEI organizations. The rule lists three modalities: a live synchronous teleconference or webinar, a live presentation, or an asynchronous teleconference or webinar — a self-paced online module is not named separately. Keep documentation 6 years. R 338.2443(1)(e) lets it count toward the 150. New applicants need 2 hours within the 5 years before licensure.
