- Board Rules Ch. 3 §7(b)(i): the CME requirement does not apply to physicians who have held a Wyoming license for less than three years as of the renewal date. The controlled-substance hour comes from statute and may still apply; see topics.
- Reporting
- Each year you sign the Board's affidavit on the renewal application that you met the CME requirement or are exempt (Ch. 3 §7(e)). The Board audits about 10% of active licensees; if selected, send a signed statement and all supporting documents within 45 days (§7(h)). Keep CME records at least four years (§7(f)). Exemptions: ABMS member-board certification or recertification within the past three years, ACGME or RCPSC residency within three years, or an inactive license (§7(b)). The Board offers ACCME CME tracking (optional).

Board Rules Ch. 1 §10: after the first renewal, every physician license is renewed no later than June 30 each year; late renewals with the grace surcharge are accepted until September 30. W.S. 33-26-305(a): licenses lapse annually and renewal requires proof of meeting the Board's CME rules. Board Rules Ch. 3 §7(a): 60 hours earned 'during the previous three (3) years', a rolling window checked at each annual renewal, not a fixed three-year period. A license first issued July 1 to February 28 is first due the next June 30; one issued March 1 to June 30 runs to June 30 of the following year.
Deadline
In Wyoming, the date depends on your license: June 30 every year (annual renewal); at each renewal you verify 60 hours earned in the previous three years.
