The rule
Business and Professions Code 2454.5 requires a course on the risks of addiction with Schedule II drugs; the Board's CME document requires at least 1 of the 50 hours on addiction to Schedule II drugs or opioids every renewal cycle. It can also count toward the one-time 12 hours if taken in the cycle that requirement is due.

MD (medical doctor)
