- Public Health Law 3309-a(3) and NYSDOH guidance: at least 3 hours covering all eight NYSDOH topics, within one year of DEA registration and once in each three-year period after, with an online attestation in NEAT. Applies to New York-licensed prescribers with a DEA registration in any state, even if retired. Live, home study or online all count; excess hours do not carry to the next cycle.
