About EdPortus

EdPortus is one place for a physician to see everything needed to stay licensed: each state license’s renewal, its required topics and hours, and credentials such as a DEA registration, life-support cards and board certification, with reminders before anything is due.

Requirement facts for MD and DO licenses in all 50 states come only from primary sources (the state Board’s website, statute and rules), carry the date they were last checked, and are re-checked every week. EdPortus is also preparing its own courses for physicians; none is approved for credit yet.

EdPortus is a new, physician-led company. Its medical director is Parth Patel, MD, a family physician.

The name

EdPortus joins “Ed” (education) and portus, Latin for harbor. Please write it as one word with a capital E and a capital P: EdPortus. Not “Edportus”, “Ed Portus” or “EDPortus”.

The mark is the Coin: one round mark that is the letters E and d, each built around a door (portus is a harbor, a gateway). The E's middle band is a door lying on its side, in orange; the d is the same door standing up. Please keep its proportions and colors, leave clear space around it (one band of the E all round), use it no smaller than 16 px, and do not rotate it, outline it or add effects.
