First renewal
OAC 435:10-15-1(a)(3): newly licensed physicians begin reporting three years from the date licensure was granted, so the first report covers a full three years and needs the full 60 hours. The yearly pain management or opioid hour applies from the first annual reregistration if you hold a DEA registration.
Reporting
At reregistration you report your CME and certify every three years that you completed the 60 hours (59 O.S. 495a.1(A)(9); OAC 435:10-15-1(a)(1)). Each year Board staff audit licensees randomly or for cause; if selected you have 30 days to send proof. The Board accepts a current AMA Physician's Recognition Award, ABMS, ABPS or NBPAS board certification or recertification during the three-year period, residency or fellowship training (50 hours per completed year) or copies of Category I certificates (OAC 435:10-15-1(b)–(c)). Missing the requirement can bring a non-disciplinary fine of up to $1,000 (59 O.S. 495a.1(B)). CE Broker is the Board's official CE tracking system; a basic account is free.
